The Acura TL's "check charging system" light is a warning that on-board diagnostics has detected a battery with a low voltage. If left unaddressed, the car will most likely die or stall. Signs the battery needs replacing include a no-start or hard starting, difficulty cranking and a lack of interior lights or chimes. Less common symptoms include a "clicking" sound in the ignition and mIS Fires. Intermittent charging can interfere with spark plug firing and the smooth function of the starter solenoid. If the battery is drained or discharged, it may also be due to a faulty alternator. If an alternator is going bad the Acura's charging system warning will be activated. If the warning returns after parts replacement, consider an internal drain generated from the Acura's stereo or bluetooth module, if equipped.
