The remote start in Your 2011 Chevy Equinox is a factory installed feature that lets You start the vehicle by simply pressing lock on the remote three times in a row. This is a very useful feature, especially in the colder months. There aren't any common faults that multiple owners have mentioned. The most likely issue that can cause the feature to fail is simply a dead key fob, when the battery gets low it will be able to send the first press but sendinG3 in a row is too much for the battery to keep up with. Another failure point that seems likely is the immobilizer not registering the proper key which will not allow the engine to start. This is something You will need to have the dealer look at because progRamming in a new code requires their diagnostic software.

The main issues with the 2011 Chevy equinox and it's key fob are the key fobs battery going dead, and the key fob becoming unpaired with the vehicle.
Yeah sorry everyone press the little buttonby the bottom of the fob it should slide and there should be a spare key that you pull out at the same.
