The most common reason that the remote start isn't working on Your 2012 Chevy Equinox will be that the battery has gone dead on Your key fob. You'll need to purchase a cr 2032 battery as a replacement. To get started You'll want to take out the physical key and then use a pry tool to snap apart the two sides of the key fob. Once You have it apart You'll see that one side is holding the battery and all You'll need to do is take it out and put the new one in. Once You have it replaced You can juSTSnap the two sides back together again.
