When the cooling seats are not working in Your 2012 Lincoln MKZ the first thing that You should check are the fuses to the system. The cooling seats have their own fuse that opens the valves from the AC to allow it to go to the seats to cool them. If this fuse is fine then the next thing You should check are all the connections under the seat. If any of these are loose or damaged it will lead to the seat cooling function not working. It is also possible that there could be damage to the cooling chambers inside the seat as well and to fix those You will need to remove the seats and repair them.

If the heated seats are not working on the 2012 lincoln mkz then it could be a blown fuse, bad wires under the seat, or a bad thermostat.
