If Your 2014 Chevy Traverse temperature gauge is not working it is usually a problem with the actual temperature sensor. The temperature sensor could be failing on Your vehicle and that will lead to the temperature gauge not showing any information. The first thing You should do is make sure that the wiring is connected to both the gauge and the sensor. Often those wires come loose while You are driving over rough terrain and so usually You just need to reconnect it. If the sensor has failed though You will need to replace the sensor, which is a fairly easy and affordable thing to do. Usually it should cost under $150 to change out at a shop.

A bad coolant temperature sensor is the most common reason behind the temp gauge no longer working.
