Why is my 2015 Chevy Malibu climate control unit not working?

If the 2015 Chevy Malibu is having issues with the climate control system, then it can be a few things. If the blend actuator motor is bad then You will not be able to control the temperature of the air coming into the car, nor will You be able to control the intensity of the air. If the fan motor is bad then You will find that the air will not circulate, though You will get noise if You turn it on. Finally, if nothing is working it is also quite possible that the fuse has burnt out. If that happens You will need to find the fuse box, either under the hood or to the left of the steering wheel. Fuses are simple to replace, so this should be the first thing You check. Finally the temperature sensor, which will be in the car near the fan motor may be bad, which will cause the actuator to act weird and give random temperatures.

If the sensor for the outside temperature is defective your a/c may not work. Computer is programmed to only turn on a/c above a certain temperature. Is the outside temp displayed reasonable? If it’s not the problem is the sensor which is located above radiator. It’s only a $2? Part you can get at any auto parts store. Easy to replace.

I found out by accident....... It was a day when I laid some work papers up on my dash Over the little red light that flashes when my car is locked. After just a few minutes nothing worked no climate control, etc. Radio didn't work it seemed something major was wrong. But when I took the papers off the dash in just a few minutes everything was working fine.

My air conditioning stopped working and heater. Thinking it might be either the fuse is blown or the fan is bad I’m not getting any hot air or cold from either. Could it be a fuse or the fans going bad?

If the air conditioning, defroster, or the heater, otherwise known as the climate control system, on the 2015 Chevy malibu is not working, then either the fan is not getting power, or the control motor is broken.
