When the radio display is not working in a 2016 Hyundai Sonata the first thing You should do is try to reboot the head unit. Lots of times the problem is a simple software issue when the software freezes and it will need to be restarted to get it working again. If that solves the problem You should check Your software version and make sure that it is up to date because new versions can add bug fixes. Another reason Your display might not be working is because there is a blown fuse to the radio. You will want to check the fuse panel in the driver's footwell area to make sure that all of the fuses for the radio are in tact and free from damage.

Your 2016 hyundai sonata radio display not working is most likely fixed by resetting the radio by pulling the radio fuse and then reinstalling.

I've had radio issues with my '16 sonata since I got it in 2018. I took it to the dealership and they told me I was crazy and there was nothing wrong with it. Now the whole screen is black and it says I need to go to fastboot mode. How is there not a recall for this? I've seen so many issues for the radio online. It's ridiculous.

My 2015 sonata is the same,been told 2-3 grand will fix the problem replacement unit.
