The heated seats for the 2016 Lincoln MKZ will eventually fail after a lot of use because the heating elements within them will burn out. If You haven't put 100s of hours of use on to the heated seats then it's likely not going to be this issue and it'll probably be more of an electrical issue. You'll want to access the interior fuse boxAnd first try changing out the fuse for the heated seats. A new fuse is only going to cost a few bucks. If You're replace the fuse and still cant get them to work then You're going to want to have a professional look at the wiring.

If the heated seats are not working on the 2016 lincoln mkz then it could be a blown fuse, bad wires under the seat, or a bad thermostat.
