The most common reason that key fob isn't working on a 2017 Chevy Equinox is going to be because the battery inside the device has died. To replace it You're first going to need to purchase a CR2032 battery. This will cost about $10 each or $15 for a pair of them. Once You have a replacement battery go ahead and now remove the physical key out of the key fob. Now grab a pry tool and You'll want to use it to separate the two sides of the key fob. On one side You're going to see the battery and You'll want to juSTSnap it out and put the new one in. Now all the pieces will just clip back together again and You'll be able to use Your key fob.
