The 2017 Honda Civic has a traction control light that will illuminate on Your dashboard whenever a loss of traction has been detected by the system. This can occur due to simple weather changes, such as attempting to drive on wet conditions, and experiences slipping with the brakes. It can also occur in the case of snow and ice storms, when maintaining traction is more difficult than it is during drier conditions. It may be safe to continue driving while the light is on, but You should always adhere on the side of safety, as this could result in spinning out, or loosing traction control while driving.
