If the trunk light is not working in Your 2017 Hyundai Sonata it is most likely one of three problems. The most common issue is the light bulb has gone bad. You're going to need to use a DE3175 bulb for the trunk. These will cost between $3 and $5 per bulb and You can find them at any major store because it is a common size. The next most common issue is going to be because of a blown fuse. If You've replaced the bulb and the light still isn't working You should try replacing the fuse. If You've changed these both out and still can't see Your trunk light then it's going to be a wiring issue and You should have it looked at professionally.

Trunk light problems on the 2017 hyundai sonata can be caused by a blown fuse, loose wiring or a bad bulb.

My 17 has short somewhere in latch. I can get the light to come on but still can't find a way to keep it on. Latch must stay in just the right position or the light goes off. If I can't find a solution, maybe replace the latch. I have been using cardboard to keep it on, but sketchy results. I plan on taking cover off and taking a closer look.

Ok... How can I tell which it might be without pulling the fuse or buying a replacement bulb?
