If Your Chevrolet Cruze has a rough idle with no service engine light, the most common causes are a vacuum leak, an issue with the spark plugs, or a problem with the ignition coil. If You have a vacuum leak it is common for it not to set an engine light. When a vacuum leak occurs, some air enters the intake manifold without passing through the throttle body. Throttle body and intake manifold gaskets can develop leaks. Check Your vacuum hose connectors for cracks that may leak. You may also notice hearing a hissing sound if You have a vacuum leak.

The chevy cruze rough idle no check engine light is on because of a vacuum leak or a faulty ignition coil.

First find out what ODB II code is causing the check engine light. It is probably P0171 which is your PCV valve leaks. You have to purchase a combo kit of the Engine valve cover with the PCV valve included. Cost is $36 on EBay. Another could be your EVAP Vapor Canister Purge Valve Solenoid. Which is a plug in installation right above your valve cover. Finally it could be you need a fuel filter. Good luck
