The Chevy Equinox' power seats may not work due to a blown fuse or faulty circuit breakers. If both power seats are not working, a malfunctioning relay or fuse is commonly the problem. To locate the electrical switch, look on the driver's door handle or the side of the seat. The connection and voltage levels between the fuse panel and Your vehicle's switch could be compromised. Test the mechanism by unplugging when the car is switched to the "on" position without firing the engine. Alternatively, the seat's motor may need replacing or suffer from a faulty connection between the switch as well. Broken wiring harnesses are another cause of power seating issues. The gears and tracks responsible for allowing movement of the Equinox' seating could need repair too.

The wiring harness under drivers seat has rubbed through causing exposed wires. This caused the short, which blew the 30 amp fuse. Made temporary repair, and secured the harness so it would not rub on the metal seat frame below. Contacting my Dealer to see what my choices are.
