Why is my Chevy Traverse backup camera not working?

The Chevy Traverse has evolved into an electrically sophisticated SUV and if the backup camera stops working or the screen displays the dreaded "triangle" symbol, it may need serviced. Owners complain of witnessing a black, then pink screen followed by scrolling. Some claim higher outside temperatures also affect the backup camera's function. This issue happens when put into reverse. Although a faulty fuse or damaged sensors may be the cause, it appears most people need a coaxle cable replaced. The cable runs to and from the camera and can be shorted out. However, some owners have been able to reset the display by unplugging it from behind the rear view mirror and then plugging the cable back in again.

I have taken my car twice and they still have not fixed the problem. The second time they did the software update and that made it worse.
