Since the auxiliary port hasn't varied much throughout the years on the Honda CR-V, this should be applicable to any of them. Now, I'm not sure what part's not working: Just no confirmation of connection Not charging What can happen here is that the terminals that You push in a USB cable to mate with become bent, or worse, they detach from the PCB internally. If You can get things to sort of work if You wiggle the connector as You push it in, this could be the problem. Another possible, but rarer issue is that the wire that leads to the Aux port has become compromised, either by getting nicked when something else was being serviced, or perhaps critters. In this case, the port will be completely dead, no matter the wiggling. To start tracing to see if this is the problem, get out Your trusty multiMeter and see if You've got any voltage on the pins. Don't forget to also check the fuse that goes to the Aux port, to see if that's blown. If none of these seem to be the issue, I'd really recommend takeng it in to Your local Honda dealership for service.

This is either a broken aux port, or the wire powering the system has gone bad and will need to be fixed.
That plugs into a USB port on your phone to play audio through the system
