The Hyundai Elantra high beams not working causes are blown fuse and loose wire. Being able to see at night is important for driving down the road. Your lights need to be working or You may get into a wreck. Some issues will show up at some point. Corrosion is very terrible to deal with. A faulty wire might come about. Lights could burn out prematurely. Blown fuse can come about. A failed relay equals a failed light source. These issues need to be dealt with quickly. The light bulbs will stop working eventually. If it becomes dull, You will have to replace them. They aren't that expensive, so they won't hurt Your bank account.

I think after hours of searching the internet and days taking my wife’s car apart over and over again I might have found the answer!!! Hyundai Elantra uses a single filament bulb with a kind of shield that covers part of it when low beams are on and then raises up out of the way when you switch to high beams. The actuator motor on the lights connects to a cheap little plastic gear and that gear apparently wears out where the metal pin goes into it to make it move. If this happens the shield doesn’t come up or maybe you notice a tiny bump up but nothing else. Your dashboard says high beams are on because the relay activated the pin and it moved. But since the cheap plastic gear just slipped no actual high beams! God I hope this helps folks! And I hope no one else has to go thru all I did to figure this out! Good luck everyone!

I have a 2019 Hyundai Elantra Value Edition and found this out, which looking into another issue. The headlights use a 905/HB3 bulb. His is a single filament bulb and there for will only illuminate at one setting. Because of this, I couldn't figure out why brights would work at all. When I activated the bright lights, I could hear a little noise (like a very short buzz). What I finally figure out is that inside of the headlight assembly, there is a small cover or hood that covers the top part of the headlight beam. This is down when your brights are not on, and up when they are. That said, if your bulbs are good (working normally in the dim mode) but your brights are not working/activating, you either have an issue with small motor that lifts the cover/hood, or with the wiring that runs it.

I have found that the highbwams not working is an ongoing problem with Hyundai. New bulbs, relay and fuses are fine, and mine still don't work. After shelling out money to get my car fixed, I find they still don't work, and may have to shell out more for some switch. Still troubleshooting to see if there is a way to fix it without costing me my other arm and leg

Hello all, both of my high beams are out. I have a 2019 Hyundai Elantra value edition and when I turn the switch to activate my high beams you can tell by the light projection on a wall surface that something is moving in the front lens, just no high beams lights activated when turned on. I was switching them on and off to see what was wrong. I don't know if I need a new bulb or if it is something else. I looked car up to see if there was a recall, and nothing has popped up. I don't want to spend an arm and leg to get this fixed.

If your Hyundai Elantra high beams are not working it's commonly a bulb problem.

I have had this issue with 2019 Elantra value edition as well. Both headlight assemblies are being replaced, seems to be a wiring issue.

I am having the same problem. The deal ship I got my car from says, if anything goes wrong they will fix it for free. They actually avoided me at all cost. I left a review on the BBB website site

My vehicle is a 2020 Hyundai Elantra that was purchased brand new with 23 miles on it when I drove off the lot. I bought it at Carter County Hyundai located in Ardmore, Oklahoma kn October 14, 2019. I lived and still live in Oklahoma. I complained to the dealership about my headlights at least three times prior to calling Hyundai Manufacturers. Both parties advised me that it was the bulbs that I placed in there. On Nov 11th, 2022, I had brought my car in and complained about the headlights again. The service manager, Dee stated it was the bulbs. He took a bulb from stock and replaced it, tested the brights and realized it was not the bulb. I asked him that my car needs to be part of the recall that Hyundai elantras are having. He advised me that my Vin # was not part of that recall. I told him well it needs to be because I cannot keep driving like this, with no brights. This is a huge safety issue. He scheduled me an appointment for nov 15th, which I missed due to not being able to pay 150.00 an hour to figure out exactly what is wrong with my car. He told me to call Hyundai and complain which I did. They told me the same thing, my car Vin does not have any recalls, they are not aware of any recalls for elantras which I advised them, that is bullshit. Since then, I have been trying to fight them that this is their problem. My car was brand new when it was bought, I should not be having these issues. They keep telling me that I need to pay to get it fixed and the matter of reimbursement depends on what the dealership finds and decides what the problem is. I hope this helps. I try to not drive my car at night due to not being able to see the road properly. The headlights do not beam out far enough, not bright enough either. Without having brights, I even purchased the brightest & whitest bulb, still cannot see.
