If Your INFINITI JX35 liftgate button is not working You will want to check the fuses to the rear door motor. Remove the fuse from its holder. In some cases, You may need a small screwdriver to unscrew the fuse holder cap. Look at the fuse wire. If there is a visible gap in the wire or a dark or metallic smear inside the glass then the fuse is blown and needs to be replaced. Many local parts stores such as Advance Auto Parts and Auto Zone carry a wide variety of fuses. Just make sure to match the correct amp and size fuse that You are replacing.

You Thanks, I found you on Google and I reconnected my battery after disconnecting the negative battery post and it reset the motor on the lift gate! It worked on my JX35 2013 Infiniti saving me over $1,200 in labor.

I had the same problem, the solution is on this video, go to 0:41 timeline, there is a power switch next to the lift gate, if the butom is off it only will work on the key andon the dash only, but not on the liftgate itself. Just turn it on again.

My entire liftgate just died! It won’t manually latch at all, and the mechanism to open and close it is completely dead, both the interior and exterior buttons are nonfunctional.
