One possible reason Your rear parking sensors might not be working on Your Kia Sportage is a build-up of dirt and debris. The first thing You should do is clean them, just to be sure gunk isnt interfering with the camera read-out. Depending on the year You own, another issue could be that the sensors have a black alloy cover that can corrode over time. On inspection of the sensors, You might notice some corrosion bubbles on the surface. If there, they could be causing the issue. If necessary, Your dealer can switch the covers out with new ones. Unfortunately, Kia in general seems to have issues with a lot of their sensors, as its a pretty big complaint from owners across the board. Luckily, a lot of people have the sensors fixed while the car is still under warranty, so be sure to see if thats the case for You.

If your Kia Sportage vehicle's rear parking sensors are not performing it may be due to debris of dirt trapped inside them. Clean your sensors of oil or soot before reinstalling or replacing
