Owners of the Toyota Yaris complain of losing function of the speedometer in the dash's digital display. It may go blank/black and quit working. Check the interior fuse box located to the left of the driver's knee below the dash and steering wheel. The speedometer is powered by a 10 amp fuse. Other solutions involve adjusting the electrical ribbon connector that runs across the back of the digital display panel. As a last resort many have opted to replace the speedometer or gauge panel with aftermarket replacements. In most instances fuses and wiring are not causing the error and only replacing the panel will restore working function of the digital information board.

Your Toyota Yaris digital dash not working could be caused by a blown fuse or a bad instrument cluster.

You should change dashboard fuse

In my case I found carbon deposits at the ends of the electrical ribbon connector that runs across the back of the digital display panel. Cleaned it using paint thinner and worked quite well
