If the radio is not working in Your Volvo XC60 the most likely reason is that the system is frozen. The first thing You should do is try to restart the radio's head unit and see if that lets it start to work again. If the radio is not working after a reboot then there could be a software problem. You will want to make sure to update the software because the updates usually fixBugs that can cause it to not work. The last thing to check is the wiring on the back of the head unit. If any of the cables are loose then the radio may not get enough power or may have a loose connection to the antenna and will not work.

The 2019 Volvo XC 60 radio may stop working due to needing to be reset or a blown fuse

2023 XC60 Recharge - has the same thing happen to me - suddenly no sound of any sort (radio, Bluetooth, indicator/turn signals, etc). Tried a ‘soft’ reboot of the control panel by holding down the center console button for 20-30 seconds. It will first tell you that screen can now be cleaned, but will eventually reboot the console. Everything returned to normal after the reboot.
