Reasons the USB port in the Ford Edge may not be working are damage to the port itself, a defective device, or an issue with the infotainment system. You can first try connecting a different device to see if there is any response. If You find no devices will work You could be dealing with a blown fuse. Consumers in auto forums have also reported issues with the port being loose thus not providing a stable connection when a device is plugged in. Check that the port has not accumulated any debris that may be preventing a connection.

To fix a usb port that is no longer working in a ford edge you should take the following steps: remove fuse box trim cover (inside the car, just in front of the driver side door, next to the parking brake), by sliding the unlock lever to the right, and then pulling the cover off. (Grab it from the top and pull toward you). Remove the fuse box cover. Squeeze the two latches on either side of the box (hard) and pull off. Locate the proper fuse on the left-most column, third fuse from the top. Use the fuse-grabber that can be found on the inside of the fuse cover to remove the fuse. Pop the fuse back in. Put back the fuse-grabber-thingy, close both of the covers.
