As the owner of a Ford Fusion, You may have found Yourself in the situation of no longer being able to get the voice command feature to activate. The first thing You should do is perform what is called a master reset. To do this, You will need to get into the driver's side of Your vehicle, and take a look at the sync menu found on Your infotainment screen. If it is not possible to reset the voice command in this manner, You should instead pull the fuse for the sync, and then plug it back in. This will force a reset, and Your voice command feature should work properly again.

When voice command stops working in a ford fusion, first try performing a master reset through the sync menu. If this fails to work, do a hard reset by removing the sync fuse and then putting it back in. The reset should restore voice command.

The voice commands in my 2016 Fusion with sync suddenly stop working. Nor could I receive calls. In fact I was not even getting the prompt from the system after I pushed the talk button. Searched online for a solution and found many possible fixes including a master reset, pulling fuses and others. I found one response that said disconnect the battery then reconnect. Since it was so simple I figured it could not work but I gave it a try. After I reconnected the battery, got in the car and was shocked when the system was working perfectly again ! So before you try all the suggested remedies, try this one first.
