Why is the ford ranger reverse sensor not working?

There are several reasons that cause the reverse sensor did not work in a Ford Ranger. One of the most common is because of moisture infiltration. Moisture has gotten into the connector or sensor itseLFAnd has shorted out the electrical connection. When this happens, the sensor has to be removed and replaced. It is also possible that a piece of road debris got kicked up by attire and cut the wiring. Depending on the level of damage the wire could be spliced back together or a whole new harness would have to be put in.
