If Your 2019 Ram 1500 tailgate will not open it is usually because the tailgate is locked. This is a new feature for the newest generation of Ram trucks having a locking tailgate. If that does not work then there is likely a problem with the latch getting stuck. Try to pull the handle and push the tailgate forward to release the latch. If that does not release it then You may have to disassemble the handle and latch to let it down. If You have problems with Your truck tailgate latch I recommend going to a Ram dealership while Your truck is under warranty so that they can fix the problem for free. It could also just be an adjustment they need to do.
