The Nissan Hardbody may crank but not start because the motor is not getting enough compression or spark. In most cases faulty spark plugs or ignition coils are preventing the vehicle from firing. Alternatively the car's charging system may be compromised. If the battery is discharged, it can't power the starter and drivers won't be able to fire the engine. The battery may be bad or the alternator could be failing. As an alternator becomes corroded or ages, it will not supply the battery with enough amperage to recharge. Have the battery and alternator checked. If the motor isn't getting enough gas, the fuel pump may be causing a no-start, or any loose lines or connections within the vehicle's fuel delivery system.

If a Nissan hardbody cranks but won't start you should check the fuel sending unit and fuel filter.
