Backup cameras are excellent technology when they work as intended -- so much so in fact that they're now mandated in the United States. The useful safety feature tends to go down, unfortunately, more often than necessary. With that said, there are a number of reasons why Your Hyundai Veloster's backup camera might fail to work. For one, the rear lens may be covered, d***y, or damaged. This is the first thing that's often recommended that drivers check when the system isn't working as intended. Next is wiring. Since You've got a lot of it running the length oft the car, focus on the connections at the camera and at the display. Finally, the display itself may be malfunctioning, so that's another thing You may want to check.

Dirt covering the lens or bad wiring causes the Hyundai Veloster backup camera to stop working.
