The king of most vroom for you buck: the c5 corvette.
I bought this car a couple years ago. She had some miles on her but that is what corvettes were made for. To be driven. She was my daily for well over a year. I had no issues with how she ran, even after autocross days. Once I left hawaii and came back to Texas, she got a taste of the track. And let me tell you, all those things you've been hearing about how corvettes do not take corners well? Total myths. She hugs everything. So performance is no question at all. Speeds of 180, 0-60 in under 5 seconds, and takes corners at high gs. Normally, that would mean the car will not drive comfortably or it feels a little stiff. Also false. One of the most comfortable vehicles I have been in. Mind you, the seats were broken in by the time I got her. (170k miles). But bumps are smoother than most vehicles nowadays due to that four wheel independent suspension. 'Well surely that big burly v8 just gulps gas.' Not exactly. With a manual, I am getting around 26 average and I drive half highway half city. That is pretty good for a track ready v8. For it is time, it has top of the line tech. I do not have the optional heads up display that a lot of corvettes had starting in the late 90s, but I have self adjusting steering, where the faster you go, the tighter the steering. And adaptive volume control for the radio. It would tell you your current and average mpg, and it was actually accurate! Tpms telling you your tire pressures. The styling of the car is magnificent. Still with those flip up headlights that make the car look so sleek during the day. The smooth, round hips making sure everyone is turning their heads as you drive by. And the iconic 4 circular taillights. How can you not love it? The interior is all leather with power seats and windows. The only parts that are not leather is the carpet, the radio, and the climate control. The premium sound system by Bose sounds amazing even after 19 years so I haven't even messed with those. Another great styling feature is that no matter where you look, you know you are in a corvette. If you look at the door threshold, it says 'corvette' nice and big. If you look at the passenger airbag, 'corvette'. If you look at the steering wheel, the crossed flags. If you look at the traction control icon, the car is a corvette. If you pop the hood, it says corvette on the engine covers. It is on the seats, on the manual, everywhere. I am surprised it is not on the pedals too. Wait... Let me go check. . So if you want performance? Get yourself a corvette. . If you want reliability too? Get yourself a corvette. . If you want decent mpg too? Get yourself a corvette. . If you want some pretty great tech? Get yourself a corvette. . If you want styling and luxury while still being able to rip down a quarter mile? Get yourself a corvette. If you want to do all of that while not breaking the bank? Get yourself a corvette. . Or if you just want bragging rights. Get yourself a corvette. . Just, please. For everyone's sake. Do not wear those nylon corvette jackets.

Handling is even better than people already assume it is.
The Corvette is the best car I have ever driven. It is by far the best value for your money. Performance, reliability, comfort, and heads up display are great. The only slight problem I had was learning to drive stick on it so I had to get a new transmission earlier than expected. Highly recommend.

Low, fast and sleek this car has it all.
I haven't had any performance issues with my car. It drives and handles nicely. It has a lot of power and has been a very reliable car.

Awesomely beautiful performance car
I have approx 135,000 miles on it, I only put 35,000 on it since purchase in 2004. Great performance car. Comfortable bucket seats. Removable hardtop with additional clear see through hard top. Just replaced transmission in past year. I am in process to get computer replaced as I've had an odd issue with car cutting off when I back out of a parking space. Sometimes I have to turn over the engine several times before it holds a charge. The guy who changed my transmission out said it is a computer issue. Approx $300 to fix. Gas gage hand quits working at times also due to computer issue, will read empty when it's not. Had few other issues to deal with. Overall a great car with beautiful body style and great performance, everything you expect from a corvette, has pop up headlights too.
