2001-2010 mercury mountaineer.
This third row seating SUV is a really smooth ride. To be honest the power feels great when you step on the gas pedal. The vehicle reacts the way you want it to. Very little to no lag on the response time from letting go of the gas to flooring it. Also for the age of the vehicle(10+years old) having a small 4.0 liter engine it is really shocking how quiet the vehicle sounds when turned in and left to just idle. After driving the car to California and back to Las Vegas several times there honestly is not much if any to complain about. Even the gas mileage is great!

My vehicle has become older everyday but still gets me where I need to go.
The vehicle is not always reliable, the heater does not always work, no a/c, check engine light is on frequently, and it has problems overheating while accelerating. But it does have lots of space which is a plus and it includes a third row with retractable seats to provide even more trunk space.

Always a ford buyer- not any more.
Several issues from ac compressor, to transmission issues, suspension issues. Not dependable will never own another, and soured our opinion on ford. Multiple continuous issues with starter, keyless entry. The water pump went out and alternator has now been replaced. The read out on dash for radio, time, different functions works at times and other times it does not register at all.

All in all it was a good vehicle 5 years ago.
Bad fuel filter can't get to it gcse it's in the fuel tank.Sunroof leaks. Somewhat reliable. I like the size and I like that it is 4 wheel drive. Due to the fact I live in a snow state. Gas mileage was good until the fuel filter went bad. I would buy a mercury again.
