Exceeded Expectations
I cannot offer up any major complaints. Minor problem in early years of the coolant system. After that it's been all clear with 03 Touring Z. I've hit a major milestone of 200,509! I guess keeping regular scheduled maintenance has led to the ultimate performance still of Z!

That its reliable and its has a simple design.
My car does not waste gas like other cars. It is very fast and is able to past cars like nothing. It has no problems.

Great fast sporty car
Love the look and appeal and economic gas usage. Does great on long road trips. I need a larger vehicle now for work purposes. Needs plugs and wires and a stereo fuse, other than that, great car.
accountCircle Ben B
Great style and performance with great gas mileage.
Parts tend to wear out quicker than expected. Serpentine belt already squeaking. Door handle currently not work. (door handle rod has come loose).

Loving it!
I bought my 350Z the first year it hit the market, and I'm saying it LOUD and CLEAR is that the car is as VALUABLE as the owner of car keep up the scheduled maintenance on the car. I am HAPPY-GLAD to say that my 'BABY' as I call it, exceeded 200,000 MILEAGE two weeks ago! To be precise my 03 Nissan Touring 350 Z is now @200,103 miles as of this date, August 2019, and is STILL rolling on like a well-oiled garage kept car! When my car hit the 200,000 mark, I had to pull over to take a picture of this incredible milestone! Any of the guys, particularly Mr. Andy Deusa, then Service Mgr, @Crisswell Nissan can confirm that Ms. J. (me), kept the regularly scheduled maintenance on car throughout the years from 03 when I purchased car until NOW! ANY car is ONLY as good as how the owner take/took quality care of car!. I never had a back-alley mechanic work on my car! I ALWAYS took car back to Crisswell Nissan in Germantown, Md, to have car maintained by reputable Nissan mechanics! Mr. Deusa and his mechanics took and STILL takes OUTSTANDING quality care in servicing my "Baby" for over a decade from when I first purchased car in 2003! My 350Z has exceeded not only my EXPECTATIONS but also that of others who know/knew how I pampered AND STILL pamper car. I have another car, a 2002 Mitsuibishi Galant GTZ6, which has a little over 160,000 miles. As one can see the car I drive the most is the Z. I love driving it on open road so I can just breeze along the highways. Such a cool car to drive. My car has been totalled twice; once while I was in church with car parked on street that was sandwiched between cars in front of and in back of. A motorist thought that it was a traveling lane and hit the two cars behind me and caused me to hit the parked car in front of me. My whole backend was ripped off with contents strewn across the roadway, and damage to front of car. I had certified mechanics to put car back together. Fast-forward 13 years later while driving on a toll road at night in the far right lane, a buck outta NOWHERE totalled car again. And once more I bought car back and had certified Nissan mechanic to put car back together using ALL Nissan parts, and paint. Car was like nothing ever HAPPENED to it, and it's still rolling on the highways and byways! I don't know for sure if it's because I drive highways and limited city driving that has contributed to the LONGIVITY of the motor. All I can say is that the car has paid for itself many times over! That's the best investment that I made in purchasing the car the first year 2003 when it hit the market! I know that some cars can be lemons when you buy them but I can truly attest to the longevity of a car when it is well maintained! I find it UNBELIEVABLE when people ask me what's name of car. Really?? My fiancee keeps a spit-shine glare on my cars, as he does his own cars. I see other cars same color and year of mine, and their cars look dull from oxidation. My car shines like a car in the showroom! I value my cars ESPECIALLY my 03' 350Z, that's garage kept. It's had its battles but it's STILL running like a brand new car straight outta a showroom! Many many thanks to Andy Deusa for the money-saving maintenance that he and his crew positioned me to be able to drive worry free knowing car is in optimal condition! A car sometimes is only as good as the owner values car. I know some cars are lemons and owners CANNOT control the inevitable of mechanical breakdowns. I'm beyond happy-glad that my 03' Nissan has truly stayed the course in providing me years of safe and wonderful service in driving. When I hit another milestone in driving car, I'll write another review! Sign me as BEST INVESTMENTS in both cars! Yahoo

A great reliable sports car.
Performance of this vehicle is outstanding. The ride is all you would expect for a sports car. There have been no major issues with this car. I have done scheduled maintenance. Power seat had to be replaced and a small oil leak repaired as well as power window needed service..

2003 Nissan performance to today’s performance.
Had the car for 4 years now and I have had several issues with the calipers seizing up but car has about 8k in upgrades. 350z has moderate power good for the year of 2003 but cars are getting more and more advanced and getting quicker so it is beginning to be more moderate in performance.

Many problems
I have about 118,000 miles on my car and I've had about every problem you can think of and a few you've never heard of. I am the original owner. Like many Z cars in 2003, mine had front end issues. It turns out the alignment specs were off, or so they said. My car would not track straight. Nissan studied my car for a month and gave me the extended bumper to bumper warranty in exchange. Wow, did I ever use that. Both window motors broke. The electronic accelerator broke. The hatch struts gave out. Lower control arm bushings tore and leaked, over and over and over. The radiator broke. The rear sub-frame bushings gave out, and I had to replace the whole thing. The transmission broke, they repaired it, and then it broke again. They gave me a "new" one. The water bump broke. Front and rear shocks have been replaced. The driver side a/c vent broke. The little dash storage door broke. The upholstery on driver side is a mess, from getting in and out. The valve cover gasket is leaking on one side. I had a leak at the oil pan. My driving and maintenance is not the issue. I replaced the oil every 3000 miles, like a religion, even more now that I drive less. I never pushed this car, but the roads where I live are not great. Oddly, perhaps, I do like the car, after all I still own it, but it has cost me a LOT of money. The engine itself is still solid, a/c works, clutch is good, replacement transmission goes and goes, and no issues with the wiring harness. Three stars is all I can muster.

Nissan 350Z. Nothing other than decent looks and decent performance.
Man oh man where to start. The Nissan 350z is becoming a cult classic vehicle just like its predecessors before it. The vehicle drives great, looks great for its age, and even has one of the best aftermarkets out there. Minor issues with this vehicle have been easy to fix, but my biggest issue is honestly how small it still is compared to most other sports cars in its time, as well as just how cheap the interior was made. Everything about this car is plastic. But hey, it looks good, and drives good. So I can't complain too much.

How Reliable Is The 2003 Nissan 350Z?

Not really any major problems. The engine is bulletproof, except the transmission in the 03-05 models is garbage. Swap the cd006 for a cd009.
