2020 Subaru Ascent Reviews

I love my 2020 Subaru ascent. It is super spacious and the interior has everything that I was looking for when searching for my new car. It is the perfect size and does not feel like I am driving a car of that size that also has a third row. Another thing that I truly love about this car is all of the safety sensors. This was one of the main things that convinced me to purchase the car. It has a sensor to let you know if you have veered out of the lane or if it thinks you are about to be in an accident. If it does sense you are going to be in an accident it also has a sensor that will press on the brakes. The car drives extremely smooth and has a great turning radius as well. One thing I have noticed while driving this vehicle is that the gas mileage on it is great for the size of the car. Previously, I was driving a small sedan and I am still able to get amazing gas mileage with such an increase in size, which was definitely a big surprise to me. Overall, this car is a 10/10 and I cannot say there is anything I have found so far that I dislike. I would definitely recommend this car to anyone who is looking at subaru’s. It is a great lifelong investment and I can tell that this car is going to be with our family for a long time.

Our accent has been amazing so far. Haven’t had any issues and the team at Subaru are some of the most helpful people in the automotive industry I have experienced. The cars performance is great, has the power you want in a larger SUV but also has the ability use it when needed and keep the gas mileage/driving capabilities high still. The car is extremely comfortable, safety features off the charts and actually come into use all the time to keep my family safe while on the road. Also the look and the feel of the car is slick and I get tons of compliments on the car. We have the touring edition trim which has the java brown leather interior which I love. Cannot find one thing I do not like about the car yet.

This Subaru is really amazing. It includes all the safety features we were looking for. Including blind spot, rear cross traffic alert, and collision stopping. It has three rows which is great because we constantly travel with other family member. Including grandparent, cousins, parent, etc. The vehicle gets about 30 mpg which is great considering its a van. The only thing that has taken a while to get used to is the fact it is a four door. I used to have sliding back doors. It also does not have as much storage in the back, but that's ok we will make do. It has plenty of charging stations and cup holders all the around for when it is full of family. The entertainment system has great sound and also has a GPS built in. Which I am glad about since we travel multiple times a year.

As a hearing impaired driver the safety features it has comes in an amazing amount of help. To be able to drive and have the extra help makes it so much easier to do daily activities with more confidence. To have the extra features I never had before including the blind spot detection and even the lane departure assist are just a few of the newer features that help. The extra cameras around the vehicle to insure I know I am safe before moving down the road. The moonroof is also very unique and looks amazing when it is night time to let my children look at the stars.

We love our Subaru ascent! It is the perfect size for our family of 4 plus a puppy friend! It is very comfortable and has lots of safety features that we use a lot. We love the color and the leather seats. The seats in the back go up and down very easily, which is great because we move them often. With the third row down, there is plenty of space in the back. There is even a handy little compartment underneath the carpet area. The only two complaints we have are that in the back there is only one little light, so at night it can be hard to see. Also, there are no regular plugs which is something we have liked on our previous vehicles, but there are USB ports.

The Subaru ascent is the perfect vehicle for precious cargo whether it is your children or actual cargo. Extra cargo can be stored by folding the third row down and the two captains chairs also fold if you need the space. The eyesight feature has saved me from petty accidents like when a car turns out in front of you. This feature has also added incredible value through the convenience of recognizing a vehicle in front of you (or behind when in reverse) and adjusting speed accordingly. Having a powered trunk option is luxurious. The panoramic sun/moonroof is such a fun addition to an already amazing and smooth driving vehicle.

I absolutely love this vehicle. It is very comfortable to drive, the features for the limited model are beyond what any vehicle of the same trim package can offer. I find new features all the time! The trunk space is very large for a 3rd row SUV. I can fit 3 car seats comfortable and the 3rd row seating is very comfortable. I love the panoramic moonroof. We were able to road trip comfortably with 2 teenagers, 2 toddlers and 2 adults with all of our luggage packed in the vehicle. We were able to put our paddle board and kayak on the roof. The gas mileage is not terrible for an SUV. I get about 325 miles per tank. There are way more positives than negatives. If I had to pick something, the cup holder cannot hold my hydroflask and there is not a blind spot camera, just a light-alert on my side view mirror. But that is really it. This car is a 9.8/10 in my opinion.

The ascent is roomy, modern, and has a variety of safety features that make it stand out. The ascent has three rows with captain seating in the second row. There are USB ports conveniently located throughout the cabin, and each zone has it is own temperature controls. The ascent has lane departure and collision prevention technology. Subaru also provides apps that keep you updated on the vehicle's health, status, location, and has remote start capabilities. Subaru is also compatible with android and iOS.

I am a longtime Subaru owner as this is my 3rd Subaru vehicle. I really love all the safety features such as standard AWD, eyesight technology, blind spot detection, front and rear view cameras, and adaptive led headlights. This model is also a IIHS top safety pick. As someone with 2 kids and in an area where no one seems to know how to drive, this is incredibly important to me. The ride is nice and smooth. It has plenty of space for a family of 4. We do not use the 3rd row regularly and only have it 'just in case'. I have sat in it for about an hour and it is ok for a short trip but I do not think an adult would be comfortable back there for long duration. I find Subaru to be reliable. I have never had any major issues with any of my Subaru vehicles. The one downside I have found with the ascent is that the CVT engine is noisy when you first start the car.

So far no problems, it gets amazing gas mileage on the highway, it is a smooth ride very little road noise. The safety technology is amazing as well with blind side sensors as well as lane change sensors. Overall comfort it fits my family of 7 with 4 kids in car seats pretty well. We did have to purchase the car top carrier in order to fit all of our luggage when we travel. That is probably the only con I have is does not have a large cargo area. The seats move forward in the middle to gain entrance to 3 Rd row even with the car seats on it! Love that part. It does not have very many electrical charge ports, and only has USB ports and 2 regular ports one in front not easily accessible and one in the far back in cargo area.

The ascent is a little rough in the shifting department, but it attains a nice speed quickly. The heated steering wheel and front and middle seats are so nice in the middle of a South Dakota winter! The cooled front and middle seats are also a welcome on a hot and humid summer day. The panoramic sunroof is awesome, especially when stargazing at night in the fully reclining front seats. Auto-sensor windshield wipers are handy in the rain, but do not forget to turn them off going thru the carwash. I like not having to hold down the brake pedal at stop lights when using the avh(automatic vehicle hold). I like to know exactly how fast I am going, to the digital speedometer calms my ocd. Even though I do not have small children anymore, the safety feature that tells you to look in the back seat after turning off the car is, no doubt, a lifesaver. Remote starting from my phone is so nice during the winter months! The automatic brake sensors and the lane change warning are good reminders to keep my eyes on the road. There's also a warning to keep both hands on the wheel. Not that I have ever had them both off at the same time.

Mine seems to have an odd glitch where music automatically plays when I start it (even though I always turn music off before turning the car off). I cannot figure out how to make it stop doing that. I have had no other problems so far. It has lots of safety features, but the ones that can be annoying in certain situations are easy to turn off if necessary. It is comfortable (and I am really excited that it saves how I have my seat, so if someone else drives it I will not have to adjust my seat all over again). I carry large amounts of musical equipment sometimes, and when I lay the seats down, it has enough space for what I need. It is also (barely) small enough to fit in my garage, so it is the perfect size for me. It is considerably larger than my previous vehicle, but it is still easy to handle.

I made the transition from minivan to SUV and I have not regretted it. I was concerned about size and space, but many times I am transporting 6 people and all are comfortable and have enough room. The seats in the front and middle row are very comfortable and able to be adjusted to fit the needs of the individual. The backseat is large enough for adults as well as kids. Finally, I have a vehicle with enough cup holders and charging stations for devices of 6 people can be charged at the same time. I only have 2 things that I am not thrilled about. First, the gas tank is smaller than my minivan, so I am at the pump more often, than previous. I still get great gas mileage, but it is smaller so does not go as far. Second, there are extra paddles/buttons around the steer wheel. I feel these are not necessary and many times, I find that I push one by mistake and not sure if I messed up something or not. Overall, I do not regret buying this vehicle and love driving it.

The Subaru ascent is roomy, comfortable, and an all-around great family car or for those who want more room on their adventures. Its standard safety features make you and your passengers feel safe and secure. The lane keep assist and lane departure features are handy and add that extra layer of protection when driving. The third row seating is roomy enough for adults with longer legs. The onboard entertainment system is easy to use and highly customizable with personal driver profiles. The ascent's power and handling make it the perfect blend for city and highway driving without sacrificing sleekness. The ascent's turbo charged engine is quiet, so the ride is comfortable and peaceful inside the cabin. The rear back up camera is handy when the back cargo area is full of gear. The rear automatic braking warns you when a vehicle, person, or object is behind you and if you do not see it the car will brake for you. It's a must have option. The optional add on tow hitch is perfect for bike racks and trailer use. The price point of the Subaru ascent is perfect for those wanting more high-end features on a smaller budget. The ascent's climate controls are perfect for hot summer days and cold winter days. The heated seats are keep you nice and toasty on those frigid winter drives. Subaru has really outdone themselves with the 2020 ascent and in my opinion there is nothing I can complain about. You would not go wrong by buying a Subaru ascent.

The car is super easy to drive and very quiet. The assistance features are very helpful with ensure your protection. It does have some lights on the dashboard that you will see when looking out at the road that indicate when you departed the lane or if there is an issue with the system and it has turned off. I love the fact that it has a bar that runs through all of the doors protecting it from side impacts. Which is peace of mind when you have small children or a baby in the back.

I really like my ascent Subaru it runs very smoothly and is very quiet. The radio has a very good sound to it. The heater gets hot quickly which is nice in the winter. The car rides smooth on the road. The car is very easy to drive in the winter in the snow it does not get stuck in the snow ever. There is a lot of room in the back when you go on a trip or go shopping. I like that you can push a button to open and close the hatch door in the back without getting out of the car. I like that I can plug my phone in and use it as a GPS. I like the interior the seats are comfortable. I love the silver color of the car. I love the heated seats they are wonderful in the winter when it is cold. I like the individual heating on each side in the front seats. I like the captain seats in the second row because you can put things in between them. I like the rubber mats they put in because they are easier to keep clean. The only thing I do not like about my car is the horn it sounds like it is sick.

I have been a Subaru fan forever. I am currently on my 4th Subaru vehicle. I have always went with the Subaru outback as my car of choice but recently upgraded to the Subaru ascent for the extra room. All wheel drive, smooth ride, lots of new safety features, captains chairs, room to sleep when car camping, decent gas mileage, great in all weather conditions, comfortable not only for myself but my family as well. Payments are a little steep but we were willing to pay the extra cost for the extra amenities.
