Very reliable, very responsive when driving fast or slow, fuel-efficient by 2009 standards, sturdy for its size, able to buy a base model without all the extras that are built into cars these days, likely to go to 200k at this point.
It has been steady, reliable, fun to drive. Fuel efficiency started to decrease as it approached 100k on the odometer. The roof rack makes the door leak a bit. Far too recognizable with its funky tail lights, but has 350 pounds more curb weight than the ford focus and Mazda 3. Plastic seal on the hood started to peel back around 100k.
The 2009 Volvo C30 has an average owner rating of 4.19 out of 5 which ranks it #12 of 17 other Luxury Small Cars.
