The recommended type of oil that should be used in the 2000 Ford F-150 iS5W-20 Synthetic for the best performance. The capacity for the truck iS6 quarts with a filter and the torque for the drain plug is 17-22 ft/lbs for the 4.2 L V6 and 10 ft/lbs for the rest of the engines. Oil is really important because it helps to keep the engine clean and running smoothly. The cost of oil is around $8 to $12 per quart or around $48 to $72 to fully fill up the full 6 quarts. You should change the oil and the filter every 5,000 miles or every 6 months, whichever comes first. Some of the tools needed for an oil change are a oil filter wrench, 5/8 inch socket, ratchet, drain pan and funnel.
