If You don't change it, there will be problems with the engine. Having high quality oil is essential for the engine to run smoothly. You will run into issues with this fluid at some point. A normal problem is a nasty burning smell. This needs to be looked into as soon as possible or the car might explode. Bad oil can cause the engine to fail. You could experience bad gas mileage. Knocking noise may show up from the engine.

The 2000 Jeep Wrangler with the 2.5L inline-4 engine option needs 4 quarts of 10W30 synthetic oil while the 4.0L inline-6 engine option requires 6 quarts of 10W30 synthetic oil.

It takes 4.5qts. To the fill line. I know the manual says 4 but 4 is between add and full.
