The size of the tires and wheels on the 2005 Ford Escape will depend on the trim package. The XLS models have the smallest, it uses a P225/75R15 tire and is mounted on 15-inch diameter rims that are 6-1/2-inches wide. The XLT, Hybrid and Limited models all have slightly larger P235/70R16 tires that are mounted on a 16-inch wheel that iS7-inches wide. The tires should be inflated to 30psi, and that pressure remain the same across all models. Proper tire inflation is important, not only for safety, but also for optimal fuel efficiency and reduced tire wear. You should inspect the tire pressures at least once per month. Its best to use a high-quality digital tire gauge to inspect the tire pressures. The gauges at the gas stations shouldnt be relied upon to be accurate.
