The size of the tires on the 2006 Ford Explorer is 245/65R17 and 235/65R18 for the Eddie Bauer and the Limited, 235/70R16 for the XLS and 235/70R16 and 245/65R17 for the XLT. The recommended tire pressure for the vehicle iS35 psi for the front and rear tires for all tire sizes. The size of the wheels on the Explorer is 16 to 17 inches in diameter and 7 to 7.5 inches in width. The vehicle has a wheel bolt pattern of 5x114.3mm and a thread size of 1/2" - 20. It has a center bore of 70.6 mm and it uses lug nuts as the wheel fasteners. If You ever need to use the spare tire it is located underneath the vehicle.
