The 2006 Honda Odyssey used a 3.5L V6 engine across all trim levels. They did use two different types of 3.5L engines but thankfully they both have the same oil capacity and type. The capacity will be 4.5 US quarts and the type will be either 5W-20 or 0W-20 synthetic. You can use either oil type and they will both work great in this van. Many owners of Honda vehicles prefer using Honda's OEM oil brand but that is up to You and it is debatable if it is worth the extra cost. If You want to take this in to a shop to have the oil change done it shouldn't cost more than about $110.

Both versions of the 2006 Honda Odyssey's 3.5L V6 engine engine code J35A6 K and J35A7 J require 4.5 quarts of synthetic oil. Honda has approved both 5W20 and 0W20 weighted oil for the 2006 Odyssey.
