The 2006 Toyota Camry with a 2.4 L engine has A4 quart oil capacity and the 3.0 L V6 and 3.3 L V6 take 5 quarts of oil. The preferred oil type for all of these engines is a synthetic 5W-30. You can use a genuine Toyota engine oil if You want but there are plenty of other options that You may be able to find for a better price. Keep in mind that You'll need the right tools if You plan on doing the job Yourself. A 3/8 ratchet and a 3/8 14mm socket, as well as an oil drain pan to catch the old oil. You can safely dispose of the old oil by bringing it to an auto parts store for recycling. -

Toyota offers three engine options for the 2006 Camry which all use synthetic formulated 5W30 oil. The base 2.4L inline-4 takes 4 quarts the 3.0L V6 needs 5 quarts and the 3.3L V6 requires 5 quarts.
