The 2006 Toyota Tundra has two different engine in their models and depending on which one You choose it will require the same oil but there are different capacities. The 4.0L v6 option will require 4.8 quarts and the 4.7L v8 will need 6.6 quarts of oil. Both of the model engines will use SAE 5w30 motor oil and is recommended to use full synthetic. You should keep track of Your service intervals for oil changes because it is the most important fluid change You do in Your vehicle to keep the engine running smoothly with no issues. Oil replacement from a dealership or auto service shop will range from $30 - $50 for conventional oil and $50 - $80 for the full synthetic. It is definitely beneficial to choose the full synthetic because its a better lubricant for the engine and will tend to last longer then the conventional sub type.
