The 2007 Chevrolet Impala oil type and capacity iS5w30 and 4 quarts. Having high quality oil is important for the engine to run smoothly. You will run into issues with the oil at some point. Bad oil can cause the engine to stop working. A common problem is an awful burning smell. This needs to be inspected as soon as possible or the car might explode. Knocking noise may arise from the engine. You could experience poor gas mileage. Your oil needs to be replaced eventually. Every 5,000 to 10,000 miles is a good rule of thumb. If You don't replace it, there will be issues with the engine.
How come I feel up my 2007 Chevy impala police interceptor with two 4 quarts it still says I am only at 5% oil life remaining how much oil does my car actually take?

You have to reset the oil life on the buttons where it shows gas mileage, etc. When you get to oil life push the check mark at the bottom of the button . Panel. That will reset it back to showing around a hundred percent.

The 3.5L V6 Flex, the 3.5L V6 (non-flex), and the 3.9L V6, for the 2007 Chevrolet Impala all need 4 quarts of oil. The 5.3L V8 engine uses 6 quarts. All four of the engines available for the 2007 Impala require the same viscosity 5W30 synthetic.
