The 2008 Chevrolet Suburban oil type and capacity iS5w30 and 6 quarts. The usual cost for a Chevrolet Suburban 1500 oil change is between $126 and $141. Labor costs are priced between $45 and $54 while parts are priced between $91 and $97. You will run into issues with the oil at some point. A common problem is an awful burning smell. This needs to be inspected as soon as possible or the car might explode. Bad oil can cause the engine to stop working. Knocking noise may show up from the engine. You could experience bad gas mileage as well. Having high quality oil is essential for the engine to run smoothly.

James B.'s "parts cost" doesn't look right. The high quality Napa Gold 7060 filter fits the 2008 Chevrolet Suburban 1500 and it will only cost $12.99 directly from NapaOnline and the filters can be found for much less in bulk from Amazon. The oil itself is only $24 for 6 quarts of full synthetic 5w-30 from Costco.
