The 2010 Toyota Tundra holdS7.9 quarts of SAE 5W-20 oil with the 5.7L V8 engine. Toyota recommends that You use synthetic oil when You do need to replace it. Oil comes in two main varieties, synthetic and conventional. Synthetic oil is engineered to provide greater protection to Your engine compared to conventional petroleum based oil. Synthetic oil also has the benefit of being able to be changed every 7,500 miles compared to every 3,500 to 5,000 for conventional. I recommend that You check You oil at least once a month to make sure that the levels are filled. You should also keep an eye on the oil to make sure that it does not have any debris or signs of burning in it.

The answer has been made here however I have to add a situation with my 2010 Tundra 5.7. I would lose quite a bit of oil between changes. More than a quart or two. Searched for the reason. No leaks and compression was great. Assumption is burning but not showing. Changed to 10-40 weight and runs great looses no oil.Quieter on start up as well 160.000+ miles. Driven across state often. Mostly grocery getting but groceries here are 50 miles each way.
