If Your 2011 GMC Terrain has a 3.0 L V6 engine then it has A6 quart oil capacity with the 2.4 L engine has A5 quart capacity. Both engines have the same recommended oil which is a SAE 5W-30 for the best vehicle performance. You should try to choose an oil that mentions that it's dexos approved but You can also get away with using one that has the API certification mark on it. A popular and affordable option that meets these specifications is the Castrol GTX Magnatec which can be found for about $20 for the 5 quart container. It's a full synthetic oil that offers good engine protection from wearing down. -
