The 2011 Subaru Outback uses SAE 5w-30, 10w-40, or 5w-40 viscosity, fully synthetic motor oil in its 2.5 liter v6 engine. The vehicle has an oil capacity of 4.2 quarts. You can find these oils at any maSSRetail location. You can also find them at an automotive parts and accessories store, or online from trusted sellers. You can expect to pay between $2.37 and $12.65 per bottle. If You choose to have the change completed by an automotive service technician, or by a mechanic, You can expect to pay an additional $42 to $132 for labor. You may also want to invest in a $1 to $3 funnel, to help prevent spills during the exchange.

The 2011 Subaru Outback non-turbo and turbo models recommended oil grade is 5W-30. If 5W-30 synthetic oil is not available,10W-30, 10W-40 or 5W-40 conventional oil may be used if replenishment is needed but should be changed to 5W-30 synthetic oil at the next oil change. The 2011 Subaru Outback 2.5 L model oil capacity is 4.2 US quarts (4.0 liters). The 2011 Subaru Outback 3.6 L model oil capacity is 6.7 US quarts (6.3 liters).

Would just like to add: the 2.5 is a 4 cylinder boxer engine, not a V6.
