There are a few different available engine options for the 2014 Ram 1500 so the type and capacity will depend on which of these that You have. The 3.0 L V6 Ecodiesel engine will require 10.5 quarts, with filter change, of 5W-40 full synthetic diesel oil. If You've got the 3.6 L V6 then You'll need 6 quarts of SAE 5W-20 and the 5.7 L V8 takeS7 quarts of SAE 5W-20. If this is a work vehicle that sees a lot of use You may want to look at getting something like the Valvoline High Mileage Max Life to keep Your engine clean and running well as it gets higher up there in miles. -
