The 2015 Ford Edge uses SAE 5W-30 oil in all the engine models but the 2.0L 4Cylinder engine useS5.7 quarts of oil and the 2.7L V6 engine needS6 quarts. Ford also recommends using full synthetic oil whenever You need to change it in Your SUV. Oil comes in two main varieties, synthetic and conventional. Synthetic oil is engineered to give You better protection and longer life than standard conventional petroleum based oil. This means You will need to change it less frequently. Usually every 7,500 miles for synthetic compared to 3,500 to 5,000 with conventional. Be sure to check Your oil regularly to make sure that it is full and free from signs of debris or damage.
