The 2015 GMC Terrain came equipped with a 2.4L 4Cylinder engine but also had the option to upgrade to a 3.6L V6 engine. The 2.4L will have a capacity of 5 US quarts and require the usage of 5W-30 synthetic motor oil. The 3.6L model will have a capacity of 6 U quarts and require the same 5W-30 synthetic oil. The oil drain plug for this vehicle will have a head size of 15mm. The torque required to remove the plug will be 20 ft/lbs. You should be changing out the oil on this vehicle around every 10,000 miles.
