The 2015 Jeep Cherokee came standard with a 2.4L 4Cylinder engine on the base and lower level trims but the higher level trims came equipped with a 3.2L V6 engine. Models equipped with the 4Cylinder will need to use synthetic 0W-20 oil and they will have a capacity of 5.5 US quarts. If You have the larger V6 then You will need to use synthetic 5W-20 and You will have an oil capacity of 5.9 US quarts. The oil will need to be changed out in either model every 7,500 miles. The base model will have an oil drain plug head size of 13mm while the upgraded engine will have a head size of 16mm.

The 2015 Jeep Cherokee uses a full synthetic oil type with differences in viscosity. The 2.4L four cylinder engine runs on SAE 0W-20 and can hold up to 5.5 quarts. The 3.2L V6 takes SAE 5W-20 and holds 5.9 quarts.
