The Grand Cherokee comes in three variants, each with their own capacities and requirements. The 3.0L V6 takes up to 5.9 quarts, the 3.6L V6 holds up to 5.9 quarts and the 5.7L V8 version comfortably holds up to 7 quarts. Jeep recommends using a fully synthetic engine oil with the 2015 Grand Cherokee, irrespective of which model You own. As for oil type, Jeep recommends using the sae 5w-20 viscosity grade oil, or the sae 5w-40. These offer improved performance, efficiency and longevity, making them excellent choices. Conventional and semi-synthetic oils are viable alternatives, but arent preferred. Jeep recommends doing an oil change every 10,000 miles or every 12 months, whichever occurs first.
