The 2018 BMW X3 uses SAE 0w-20 full synthetic oil. It has a capacity of 5.6 quarts. Oil keeps the internal parts of Your engine lubricated and it also removes dirt, sludge, and other impurities which will keep Your vehicle running smoothly. The cost of an oil change for Your BMW is between $60 and $70 for labor and between $120 and $130 for parts. You should get an oil change every 7,500 to 10,000 miles. Signs that it's time for an oil change include a ticking sound coming from the engine, transmission shifting issues, shaking while idling, exhauSTSmoke, poor fuel economy, and of course if You see the Check Engine or Oil Change lights come on.

Pat T. You are wrong about the 3.0L 6-cylinder, you listed it as a 4-cylinder.

The 2018 BMW X3 recommends the use of a SAE 0W-20 motor oil. The 2.0L 4-cylinder engine has the capacity to hold 5.6 quarts and the 3.0L 4-cylinder engine can hold 6.9 quarts, both when serviced with a new filter.

Both 2.0 and 3.0L are 4-cylinder not 6.
