Chances are, You didn't buy Your 2018 BMW X5 in order to maximize cargo space -- that's what Chevy Suburbans are for (full disclosure, I drive a Suburban as my personal vehicle!). Regardless, You'll still be able to tow and stow a fair amount in Your rump, as the cargo space amounts to 35.8 cubic feet with the seats in place, and 76.7 cubic feet if You include the seating area. This is larger than both the X3 and X6 in the same model year, and equal to the older 2017 X5. While larger vehicles do exist, many don't come with the same kind of class You'll find in the X5 -- nor the 23 city / 29 highway MPG. Overall, You've got an excellent balance of luxury, efficiency, and space.
